Verified reviewI was charged premium Next Day delivery while my order was sent by ordinary post and took three days! When asked they only offered a £2.49 refund after having left me stranded with my deadline. Very dissatisfied with the customer service.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm so sorry you weren't fully satisfied with our delivery service. I've looked into your order which yo0ur ordered from us after the Next Day cutoff time of 2pm. We sent out your delivery on time the following day on a Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked Service. Normally this service is very reliable, however it seems on this occasion Royal Mail let us both down. I'm so sorry about this but it's very hard for us to be responsible for Royal Mail deliveries because even though they are pretty reliable they are not guaranteed. As a gesture of goodwill and as an apology we refunded you the amount we charged extra for the Next Day service even though Royal Mail will charge us the full amount for this service. Once again, I'm so sorry your goods didn't arrive with you on time as we both would have expected but I hope you understand our position. Kind regards, Guy.

Verified reviewOrdering tubes of acrylic paint through the mail... would it arrive intact? Or would the paint have exploded from the tube? I was a little apprehensive but despite extensive searching of all the art shops local enough for me to drive to, non had the complete set of colours I needed and I only needed 4 colours! So I bought online. I was very pleasantly surprised as the how clearly the website page was laid out making it so easy to find what I needed. The payment process and making an account were simple to. (I’d given up trying to find what I needed on Amazon, titanium white acrylic paint by Winsor and Newton, the items shown were from every brand known and unknown to man with the odd non related item like a white plastic duck thrown in for good measure!) So I sat back and waited anxiously for my paint to arrive, and a couple of days later it did. I cautiously opened the package still expecting the possibility of an explosion... what I did find was my products in perfect condition as the had been packaged with care and attention. The whole process was simple, with emails to keep me informed and the successful delivery of items in perfect condition due to perfect packaging without any plastic noodles or tons of crumple paper. Will I use this company again? A resounding Yes, I’d be stupid not to. A last note the prices were great as well!

Verified reviewThis is my first purchase from Dowling and Wilcox. I was looking for a small simple art box to complement my full size artist easel. I found the perfect solution on this website. With the added bonus of a box that transformed into a lap top easel. Excellent!! The item is made of a light wood with basic fittings, but i love it! Great price! The website was simple and straightforward to use. Hassle free! Delivery fine, and on time, would definitely use the website again.
