Verified reviewFedEx originally said package due be delivered by Friday, 9 September by 6pm. On 7 Sep, I was noticed that delivery was delayed until Monday, 12 Sep by 6pm. On Monday at 3:36pm, I was notified that delivery was delayed again until Tuesday 13 Sep by 6pm. We are leaving town and will not be here to accept delivery. However, the online facility for changing the delivery is not available and there are no local contact telephone numbers. Will not be buying from Ideal Wine again.

Verified reviewThe website was totally fine and I was able to find what I wanted. The issue was the delivery. I paid iDealwine for delivery. Later I received a slightly rude call from Fed-Ex demanding I pay an additional sum. VAT of 20%, totally fine. However, Fed-Ex then added a further GBP35+ for extra admin - for what should have been captured in the original shipping cost. They have my wine and so I had no choice to pay these extra charges - a total shake down. To be clear I have no issue paying the tax, but Fed-Ex just used is an opportunity to load on extra fees. Given iDealwine contracted with Fed-Ex they must take some of the responsibility for this outcome.
