Verified reviewI've read some pretty negative reviews of Motostorm, because: the company seems to assume that they can get products quickly that they don't physically have in stock; sometimes this process takes a long time, or until the customer eventually cancels an order; and the company seems to be pretty poor in terms of responding to emails. Having said all that, happily in my case the process was the other extreme. My order of a Shad 59X topcase went smoothly: the price -- and with an included backrest, to boot -- was outstanding; the case arrived, via FedEx (at least the last leg of the journey, the USA part) at my home in New York state (about 150 miles north of New York City) nine days after I placed my order; the product was new, undamaged, and in the original Shad box; all hardware (including the backrest parts and Shad's universal mounting plate) was present, in their sealed packets. So this was a perfect experience for me. From my reading of others' experiences, as well as my own now, my recommendation is that you order from Motostorm with your eyes open, i.e., be prepared to wait a long time, and possibly having to cancel or order, as the price you may have to pay for, um, paying a very low price. And as with my new topcase, I think ordered products are best left to those items that are not necessary almost immediately, nor by some date, but rather "would be nice to have sometime at this price point." Put another way, I had a great experience, but one data point does not make a graph. Let me see if I can come up with something else to order, and I can start building up a trend with the company. Regarding customs fees, everything is clearly explained on our website: "Customers outside of the EU may subject to customs duties on delivery depending on the International Agreement between your country and the European Union. In this case the carrier will require that you pay the duty costs on delivery. International orders may be subject to customs clearance procedures that can cause delays in delivery.”

Verified reviewWas advised that a visor I enquired about would be available to order later that day. It's now 2 weeks later and still not available on their site. I had to finalise my order without the visor which I will have to order again separately and pay the shipping again, which is more than the cost of the visor. No response to 3x emails.

Hello, it's poor communication to advise that it will be available later that day and then no further response despite 3 more follow ups. Unfortunately, I have been told today that on top of what I've paid for the 2x helmets purchased, I now owe $300AUD in customs fees because you failed to charge me 10% GST (about $120AUD) on my order despite it being shipped to Australia. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not be ordering from Motostorm again. It would have been more affordable for me to order locally instead..

Customers outside of the UE may be subject to customs duties on delivery depending on the International Agreement between your country and the European Community. Motostorm is a registered importer in Australia and has a official ABN number. As such we follow the Australian government request for us to collect GST only for orders below 1000AUD. For orders above 1000AUD, such as yours, the Australian customs collect themselves by sending the customs bill to the importer through the transport company. The customer is informed when the GST has been applied or not, it is indicated in the cart prior to checkout and in the order confirmation sent by email immediately after placing the order.

However, I went ahead and ordered a set of Givi TN9053 engine protection bars, currently I live in the Philippines. The price was great with a 20% discount and shipping was only €39 from Italy to Cebu. My order was shipped within a week and I received it after 10 days of placing my order. Everything went well and I could track the progress no problem. My package arrived with excellent packaging and all items were in 1st class order.
