Verified reviewSeen from afar, the desk is pretty and solid, and the effect is guaranteed. However, the finish is average: one of the two rounded corners is not smooth to the touch (and it shows to the eye), the sanding is perfectible (several areas are "rapey" to the touch) and the oil application shows several small stains, as if something had been placed on the wood before drying. A real shame.***

Verified reviewHello, quite disappointed overall, the first shipment, there was an outline of 0.5mm ... you have kindly returned the order. One piece is not the same width as the others and some pieces are 2.5cm on one side and 2.6cm on the other. I had ordered from you because you had been recommended but I had to find the person to cut my wood. At nearly 100 euros an order, I have to admit that it's not going down well. I don't have a planer and I was counting on you to provide quality cutting, but unfortunately that's not the case. What can I say about the contact form, which asks for information you already have, since I have an account, and which didn't work on my PC on three different browsers, a waste of time and a good dose of frustration.***

Verified reviewperfect, the product corresponds perfectly to what I had ordered. Super delivery, the product was very well protected and the driver dropped it off in my garage. I'm withdrawing one star because the product is raw and needs a bit of sanding and a coat of protection before you can use it. It's well indicated on the site but not highlighted enough. I made a personal order to make myself a desk, which didn't cause me any problems, but at the same time I made an order for my 75-year-old mother (to put on a saucepan) and it's a bit more difficult for her. in your configurator, you should offer this finishing service***

Verified reviewI was a little disappointed with the quality of my purchase (a 150x70x2.6cm "premium" oak tray), considering the price (369€...). First of all, I was only able to check the condition of the product very quickly on delivery, as the delivery driver hurried off to continue his rounds. Upon complete unpacking, I noticed a surface crack of around 6cm, but it was too late to return my product under the site's conditions (the deliveryman having left in a hurry...). Then, I wanted to apply the protective varnishes to the wood myself, and just as I was about to apply the first coat of hard primer, 2 small strips (2-3cm long) of wood came off the sides of the tray... That's a lot of unpleasant surprises just after receiving the order. The wood is pretty and the cut respects the dimensions, but considering the price it's not normal to have this kind of defect on receipt of the product. It's a shame, because it doesn't make me want to trust La Boutique du Bois again for my next need.***
