The knife was much smaller than anticipated, extremely hard to close and not as detailed as pictures in the website. I also had to pay a $40 customs fee on top of the price to have it delivered once it reached the states.

Reply from Couteau-laguiole.com

We’re truly sorry for your disappointment with your recent order. It seems that a very small size (9 cm closed) was selected on our configurator, whereas our standard size is 12 cm closed. Smaller knives can indeed be more delicate to handle — especially if you have larger fingers. As discussed by phone today, we will be happy to exchange your knife for a 12 cm model, keeping exactly the same options as your original order. Of course, there will be no additional cost for this replacement. Please note, however, that we are unfortunately unable to cover any customs fees that may apply upon delivery. I remain at your disposal to send you a return label whenever you’re ready. Kind regards, Florence

All products offered have incredible quality and workmanship. I’ve made two purchases, a pocket knife and now steak knives. Extremely reasonable prices for such quality items. Well worth the investment.
