Verified reviewThese knives were what I thought would match my original set I purchased almost 30 years ago. The website photos show stamps with “Inox France,” which is what I have on my original set. The reason why I wanted that was to match the others and the fact that they are so well made, I’m certain my 30-year-old set will last me a lifetime if I don’t lose any. The ones that shipped after I paid the tariff fees were different than those pictured. They have different engraving, the blades are thinner, and the serration is no longer matching that of the knives in the photos on the website. I thought buying direct from the French workshop would be the key to matching my original Laguiole set. Turns out, they are the same ones that go for 3 times cheaper on Amazon, but the same knives that earn poor reviews. I have reached out via email to hear nothing other than there are new methods and practices now. I expect to lose my $130 US and not have any money back guarantee at this time, but maybe business is too busy to answer emails from a US-based customer.

We are sorry about this unexpected tax. It is an import duty applied in the United States to all products purchased outside the USA. Unfortunately, we are unable to know the exact amount in advance, as it depends on the different U.S. states.

Verified reviewI and my friends have been purchasing these kits for over a year and this latest order (2 sets, 1 brass bolster and 1 brass bolster with corscrew) are the worst, the gaps between the bolsters and the liners are as wide as the Grand Canyon, the drilled holes are full of brass metal burrs. the part of the liners that attach to the bolsters are slightly bend. I can't possible think that you guys could send out something like this with ZERO quality control at all. VERY DISAPPOI?NTED.

I recently needed an additional item because I lost a knife from my ebony set, and thanks to Mr. Jean’s support, it was easy to reorder a knife identical to the ones I bought 15 years ago. After that, I ordered another set of six knives, which arrived on time, well packaged, and in a (free) gift box.
