Verified reviewContrary to my previous purchases from Pylones, this time, I am anything else but happy with my recent purchase. First of all, two of the espresso cups had a scratch and several pointy holes in the glaze. The stand of the cups arrived bent. I decided to let it slide because of the hassle to return something overseas. Secondly -and that part really annoys me!- I received an additional invoice from FedEx today informing me that I owe them $33.13 in tariff charges!!! The least Pylones should do is play with open cards and inform their American customers who order online that there might be a tariff surcharge coming their way in addition to already steep shipping costs!

Unfortunately, we did not receive any prior request regarding the issues with your product. Had we known, we would have been more than willing — and eager — to resolve the problem promptly and make things right for you. Regarding the customs charges, we must share the following from our Terms and Conditions: “For orders outside the European Union (to the United States, for example), any items purchased are invoiced exclusive of VAT. Customs duties and other local, state and import taxes may also be charged. You are solely responsible for paying these additional costs and fees.” These charges are beyond our control and depend entirely on customs policies in the USA. We truly wish we could foresee or prevent these fees to spare you the frustration. We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and heartache this situation has caused you. Please know that your satisfaction means everything to us, and we are here to support you however we can.
