I have been using Superprof for about six months, and overall, I have noticed something that I think could be improved. One issue is the review system. Sometimes a student contacts me, we discuss their learning goals, schedule, and lessons, but they eventually decide not to book a lesson. However, Superprof may still prompt me to leave a review for that person. I think there should be an option for tutors to indicate that no lesson took place. For example, there could be a simple button such as “Lesson did not take place” or “Student did not book.” This would help Superprof distinguish between people who simply contacted a tutor and actual students who took lessons. For example, I may have four students currently taking lessons with me, even though several other people have contacted me through the platform. The number of enquiries should not give the impression that all of those people became students. I also think Superprof could improve the booking and payment process, especially for Superprof users globally. It would be very helpful if students could book a lesson and make payment directly through the platform, with the tutor and student being able to manage lessons, schedules, and payments in one place. As a tutor in Nigeria, I have noticed that I often have to move conversations offline to arrange lessons and payments. A more integrated system would make the experience much easier and more secure for both tutors and students. These changes could make Superprof more transparent, professional, and convenient for both tutors and learners.
